These nutritious and tasty pancakes/waffles are loaded with protein and fiber. Applesauce is used for moisture and a natural sweetener, whole wheat flour for fiber, and protein to help with muscle maintenance. Do your body a favor by giving it the tools to fight cancer, heart disease, and diabetes!
Just combine our mix and applesauce with milk and eggs from your house (replace 1/4 cup milk with oil for waffles), then cook on griddle,in skillet, or waffle iron until golden brown.
Meal Kit Contents: 1 bag of mix and applesauce
You Provide: 1 ¾ c. skim milk, 2 eggs, 2 T butter, 1 cup raisins (opt). For waffles, substitute a 1/4 cup of milk with 1/4 cup of oil.

| Cooking Instructions | Heat electric griddle to 350˚ F, or set skillet over medium heat. In medium mixing bowl, whisk 2 EGGS until blended. Add APPLESAUCE (included) and 1¾ C SKIM MILK, then whisk by hand until well blended. In a separate large bowl, empty PANCAKE MIX (included). Pour egg and milk mixture into pancake mix and stir by hand until just blended (do not over-mix). Optional: add 1 C raisins and stir to combine. Add 1 T butter (per batch) to evenly coat griddle or skillet, then pour ⅓ C batter to form pancakes. Optional: add 1T berries to each pancake after pouring batter. Cook until lightly browned and bubbles begin to form (approx. 3-4 mins.), then flip and continue to cook for 2-3 mins. Remove pancakes and place in warm oven or on cooling rack, then repeat Steps 6-8 until all batter is used. Serve lightly drizzled with AGAVE NECTAR (included). |
