Healthy cookies? You bet! Always a favorite, these classic and wholesome cookies are made with a lighter whole wheat flour, enhanced with flax seed meal and lightly sweetened with an unrefined turbinado-style sugar.
Turbinado sugar (sugar-in-the-raw) is less refined than the white sugar usually used in baked goods. It also has fewer calories per teaspoon, and when combined with our whole grains significantly reduces the sugar rush which is always followed by a crash! And because we use a 100% whole grain wheat flour and nutritious rolled oats, the higher fiber in these cookies will tide you over until your next meal as well as provide other digestive benefits.
Just combine our mix and included applesauce with butter and eggs from your house, then bake until golden brown.
You Provide: 12 T butter, 2 eggs
Meal Kit Contents: 1 package of cookie mix, and 1 applesauce cup (1/2 cup each).

| Cooking Instructions | Heat oven to 350˚ F. Adjust oven racks to middle and lower middle positions. Apply COOKING SPRAY or BUTTER to 2 cookie sheets. Add 6 T slightly softened BUTTER and SUGAR PACK (included) to large bowl and beat with electric mixer for 2-3 mins. Add 1 EGG and APPLESAUCE (included) and beat for 1 min. Add FLOUR/OAT PACK (included) and stir by hand until evenly mixed. Add RAISINS (included) and stir by hand until just combined. Form into 20 balls, placing on cooking sheets and gently pressing down to flatten to approx. ½” thick. (be careful not to press too thin or cookie will be dry) Bake for 18-20 mins. or until slightly moist on top. Transfer to cooling rack; wait at least 15 minutes to enjoy. |
